Jane DoeAkhilesh Yadav is a familiar name in the milieu of India’s influencing politicians. All of 38, the torch-bearer of a successful governance in UP did not have an easy ride. Climbing the pedestal of success came to him under the predominant misconceptions about the Samajwadi Party. However Akhilesh proved the critic wrong and stormed to power with a massive support.
Akhilesh Yadav Wins the Glory Back
Akhilesh holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Sydney. He knew the only way to sweep into power is by revamping the party set up. The then scandalous Samajwadi Party’s inner-workings took a major leap after Akhilesh intervened. It was a mission of some sorts to gain back what the SP had lost to Mayawati in the earlier election.
Samajwadi party received lot of backlash for its one wrong decision. The party had shaken hands with Kalyan Singh who is believed to be the main kingpin of Babri Masjid demolition. Akhilesh was then turned to by his father Mulayam Singh Yadav which resulted in a frenetic rush to success.
End of Goonda Raj
Since the youth live on hope and are dreamers of tomorrow, Akhilesh Yadav pursed the youth’s candor, vivacity, audacity into his fist and infused a fresh spell in the party. His fearsome, new-age doctrines pulled out the party from a quagmire, perhaps in the most unprecedented way.
Time and again, as the radical idea of sharing a.k.a socialism swept the ground under the feet of many a capitalist forces, the UP youth icon’s morals being inclined on such socialistic dogma, set new governing goals for his other counterparts. Following the Jayalalitha’s model of freebies for votes, Akhilesh too offered free goodies like laptops and food grains to the poor people of his state.
The hardcore socialist in him helped curtail the so called Goonda Raj in UP (God forbid keeping DP Yadav away from the party). Under the moral magnifier, his governance have brought into question that he is against English and computers which too bit dust in view of UP scaling new heights by his leadership.
Criticism
Akhilesh Yadav was not spared for his coldness towards crimes which too place in the villages of Uttar Pradesh. Be it the gang rape of a young girl in Mirzapur or the riots of Muzaffarnagar. He was condemned for the celebrations of SAIFAI at a time when the state had seen one of the worst riots that ever took place. These riots resulted in killing several muslims and making thousands to live in abysmal conditions in the relief camps.
The X factor
He came, he conquered and swept into power with a plummeting Samajwadi Party. The ever-so-charming young minister never let the environmentalist in him die. He came into politics because his luck had so. Not to mention UP was in thickest need of his leadership. However, one must acknowledge his dad’s foresight to his successful career in politics who is also the prime reason after his career-switch.
