While talking to his brother, Escobar once pointed to a place just above his right ear showing it as a point where he will shoot himself if he would ever be cornered. Escobar died in an encounter with the Columbian police at the age of 44, and the wound that killed him was exactly where he had pointed. Till date nobody knows whether it was an encounter or a suicide.
